My work is inspired by folktales and the natural world and explores themes such as identity, relationships, and the way we see ourselves in other animals.

I make paper sculptures, using the layering method of papier-mâché, and mount them in boxes or vintage tins. I’m a huge bibliophile and enjoy giving new life to books which have fallen apart.

More recently I have been making a series of bird figures borrowing the look of taxidermy and inspired by the birds I see in my local area – I’m lucky enough to live near an RSPB reserve, Leighton Moss, within the Arnside and Silverdale AONB.

I exhibit regularly and have work in private collections in the UK and abroad.
